Social Media is a Wee World Wonder in Japan Disaster

Friday March 11, 2011 a powerful and devastating 8.8 magnitude Earthquake strikes northeastern Japan at about 2:45 p.m.  As a result a massive Tsunami sweeps down the Pacific Coast leaving much chaos and destruction in its path.
Amidst this disaster, Social Media sites such as Facebook and Twitter have been a Wee World Wonder for communication and support. Worldwide, people immediately logged on to pledge support, learn the status of a loved one, or to report the news of safety.
