Earth Hour is a Wee World Wonder
Earth hour began in 2007 with 2 Million environmentally aware individuals in Sydney Australia, who turned off all their non-essential electronics for one hour in order to conserve energy. Earth Hour 2011 has grown rapidly into a worldwide event. From homes to businesses to landmarks such as The Eiffel tower in Paris, London's Big Ben and Time's Square in NYC, almost everyone has plans to get involved. Even popular websites such as Google and Twitter will dim their desktops. On March 26 2011 from 8:30-9:30pm, a Billion people will answer what they consider to be a call to action against climate change, and what we consider to be a Wee World Wonder.
