Make your New Year's Resolution a Wee World Wonder

As the New Year begins to gain momentum, many will kick it off by making a resolution. Whether you make your resolution to better your own life situation or make it to help another, goals that are planned out properly turn into Wee World Wonders. One of the best ways to set a great goal is to make sure it's S.M.A.R.T.

Specific: When you are getting ready to start your goal-setting it's easy to get caught up and lost before you even get off the ground. Make sure to home in your focus on one or two objectives at a time, and clarify exactly what you want to do.

Measurable: When it comes to pursuing a goal, this is the fun part. Make sure you have chosen a resolution that is easy to track. You will find much encouragement in monitoring your progress.

Attainable: Don't be tempted to make a resolution that will overwhelm you. You might think that the bigger the resolution the bigger the pay-off, but actually when it comes to achievements, size doesn't matter.

Realistic: It takes a dreamer to make a resolution, it takes a realist to keep it.

Timely: A resolution without a time line is like a treasure hunt without a map. If you don't know how long it will take you to get somewhere, you will wander in the wilderness forever, and come out with nothing in the end. Make sure your resolution has a deadline, but also remember to be flexible; nothing in this world is set in stone.
